Trilingual Course: Let’s Talk über l’espace!

Do you want to practice your language skills? Join us for a free-of-charge trilingual course and perfect your English, French in German at the same time. Seems impossible? Give it a try and find out how many elements these languages have in common.

Trilingual Course: Let’s Talk über l’espace! Practice your English, French and German with AGH and HHU lecturers. Join us online on Thursdays from 8.30-11.00, starting 11 April.

The course consists of 15 rounds of 2-hour sessions and is completely free of charge!

This trilingual online course, co-taught by three native or near native language teachers, aims to optimize communication skills and increase confidence to read, discuss and present in English, French, German and Polish (as a bonus).

The course also includes three specific guest speakers, who contribute in each of the course languages. In keeping with the spirit of the UNIVERSEH Alliance, each session focuses on a space-related topic, especially on the connections that can exist between the aerospace sector and issues like environmental, social, and economic sustainability, as well as humanities and European identity. Participants will thus familiarize themselves with a transdisciplinary approach by dealing with themes that hardly ever appear within their respective curricula.

Unlike a traditional language course, this course does not focus on the systematic acquisition of grammar but uses a multilingual approach: it aims to highlight the parallels that can exist between different languages in order to improve the participants' language learning strategies and foster the emergence of a translanguaging awareness.

If you are an AGH University student, your English, French and German are reasonably good (but not necessarily very good) and you would like to register for the course and/or have any further questions, please write to us at kruk@agh.edu.pl.
